Our first destination for our honeymoon was Ubud, Indonesia, we stayed there for 2 nights in Kupu Kupu Barong Resort I think the best in town. The first day we arrived very late at night to the hotel so we couldn’t see or do much. The second day we woke up, we had an amazing breakfast in the “la view” restaurant, it has a panoramic forest view. The free shuttle from the hotel took us to downtown Ubud we walked from there to the monkey forest. Walking in the streets of Ubud and discovering their stores, was super fun and exciting especially when it suddenly rains. While walking in the street we had the opportunity to do a fish pedicure called “Garra rufa”, tickling at first, however very relaxing. As a juice person I was the happiest person on earth drinking a coconut bigger than my head. The monkey forest is so nice to see if you are an animal lover like my husband, you can feed them bananas, they sit on your backpack and they even try to steal your ring, so watch out! The next day we visited Bali Kintamani Volcano and the Luwak Coffee plantation where we were very happy to discover such beautiful places (I don’t recommend you to buy any kind of coffee they will propose, taste them but don’t buy them as they don’t taste the same). I totally recommend you to visit Ubud but not more than two days.
Nusa Dua is by far the best place we visited in our honeymoon and totally fell in love with it. We stayed there for 5 days in Grand Hyatt. The hotel is huge we had to walk about 10 minutes from our room to arrive at the lobby, great exercise while eating a lot of Asian food; the gardens were very well maintained as if we were walking in a dreamy garden. The hotel also had a direct access to the ocean but we did not take profit of it much as we had a lot of activities to do. We took a swim with the dolphins, kissed them, gave them a massage, saw them twirling and jumping, a real must do if you go there. We went also to Bali Safari & Marine Park and saw all kinds of animals. The park is very organized and very clean. We were going from a show to another and from an activity to another. We took the rhino package and it was totally worth it, especially that it had the lunch next to the lions in it. We weren’t told to bring our swimsuits with us but even if we had them we couldn’t use them as there was no time. What I loved the most about Nusa Dua is how clean and beautiful the streets are, and even if it is a touristic place it wasn’t crowdy at all.
